The resolution is also a little odd in that it does not fit in with the 'standard' resolutions, being in between 2k and 4k, however this should not be an issue with MEP as the GoPro can also record this resolution.Īre you using the same resolution settings in the GoPro, and what is the MediaInfo data for a GoPro clip that plays OK? I would have expected figures in the range 35 - 45 Mb/s ![]() This is unusually high for a resolution of Thanks for the MediaInfo data, the odd data that I can see is: Much of it is just stuff I don't know :-( So as per your suggestion, here is the pasted text info:-Ĭomplete name : C:\Users\MollyG Productions\Desktop\VIDEO EDITING\4k Yi Camera\YDXJ0060.MP4įormat profile : settings : CABAC / 1 Ref Frames Thanks for the reply, I didn't think the audio data would be particularly relevant, but I suppose anything could disrupt playback. Has anybody else had a similar problem or know what steps I can take next? I have transcoded using Handbrake, but would prefer to use the original files for best clarity. Windows media player plays it with no problem at all, so it must be a difference with the Yi Codec. That applies to footage in any resolution from the Yi. ![]() However it will allow me to load in footage from the Yi, but will lock up immediately I try to run it. It will also play files from the GoPro and SJ4000 cameras. Magix will run almost anything including 3 streams of 4k or a mix of 4k and HD. ![]() ![]() Most of my filming is in 4K and HD with Panasonic cams, with the smaller action cams for unusual or discreet angles, plus some electronic stabiliser mounting for walk around shots. I recently bought a Xi2 4K action cam (not the 4K ) as an addition to my Gopro and SJ4000 cams. Just realised this is my first post here for 7 years and still some reconisable names Wow!
